HELP cant update my ctx

if anyone could help i would greatly appreciate it when i try to update my ctx a error window appears and says the ctx is not compatible with this application you guys have any ideas thanks
 
If you just got the machine all the updates may already be installed. Check and see if seawater is on the option for modes. If it is then you have the latest upgrades. HH :minelab:
 
ok i got the update i had to use my laptop for some reason it wont let me on my desk top thanks for trying to help
 
You'll probably have to change some security settings on your desktop.
 
Possibly a USB port issue. I had the same error on my Windows 7 PC when using the front USB ports. I plugged it in the back and it worked fine. Could be my front ports are not USB 2.0 and the CTX requires it?
 
thanks guys i will try those next time i need to update still sucks that the battery for my ctx is bad and its brand new lol
