Any first hand accounts,on using Spandex for Body Warmth??.Back a Number of Years ago,I remember seeing a Guy Changing into a Pair of Panty Hose underneath his Wet Suit.Course that might have been for ease of entry.Back then we used Cornstarch alot.
I'm Talking Spandex long Sleeve And Leggings, only. The Waters here are warm enough, but you know,it still saps your Bodyheat.I think with this and the Air Temp being in the Low 90s,I would be alright.Any Thoughts? Ken.

Partial quote ... " Pair of Panty Hose "

Now I am starting to really worry about you water hunters............:rofl:

I buy what is called SKINS, for divers, I think all dive stores sell them. Work for keeping you warm and keeping things off your legs. I use the under my wet suit so they go on ease. and wher it is warm I use them under my trunks, I just don't like things on my legs.

Hello,Flintstone.
I live on the Coast of Colombia. Many, many, many things cannot be found here....It's a Diver's Destination, and there is a coupla' Dive Shops around.I'll ask.Thanks.I see the Guys that run Skeedoos for a Living down on the Beach have lots of Sun Protection(Spandex Clothing)
Ken.

These SKINS are full suits, they go from your feet to your neck, cover all of your body expect your head. They stretch, very light, but do keep you warm some. Not like a wet suite, but looks like a wet suite.

Hey,Flintstone.
Thanks. That sounds like what I would like to have.Anything to avoid using a Weight belt. That 5 Pound Excalibur might help keep me on the Bottom!.I can't remember how much Weight in a Belt it took for me with a Tropical Wet suit,it was some Time ago.But I remember I was astounded, trying it in a Swimming pool .Evidently.I'm super Buoyant at 135 pounds!..I ended up not using a Wet suit, this was in the Dominican Republic.
Ken.
