Hi Max, Very happy to see a young aussie join this forum. You will find the most helpful and cheerful answers to any questions you may have so just ask O K
All the best from townsville.

Welcome to the forum. It is good to see some young ones getting into the hobby.

Happy to see you here. I wish I would have had a detector when I was 11. Stay with it. Good Luck.

Hi Max: You don't know how fortunate you are to be getting into the hobby at such a young age and to be able to start out with such a good detector as the XT-705 is almost unheard of. If you really want to increase your abilities with the XT-705, learn what is in the FAQ section on this forum by heart and better yet print them out to study in your free time. I study my printouts during the long winter months we have up here in the northern hemishere and it has helped me immensely. Learning the TID numbers and "tones" of your coins and jewelry is also extremely important, maybe one of your fellow countrymen can supply you with the readings that match your country's coins, jewelry and nuggets. Good luck with your hunting! Mtnmn

Welcome Max,
You will learn a great deal on this forum, and know doubt teach a lot as well. Those early silvers are great coins all the best....jim

hey guys just wondering if anyone has any settings for old coins ? and does anyone have a garrett pin pointer for sale ( i dont have a pin pointer ) , cheers

G'day Max.
Welcome to the X-Terra forum.
The cover is a good idea if you want to keep the mud off, but the X-terra's seem to handle a light amount of moisture on them fairly well. It doesn't really matter what mode you want to use, they'll all find the oldies. Go up to FAQFAQ and you'll see some numbers for the old Aussie coins. Have fun.
Mick Evans.

hey max

go a brand new pinpointer - you can't go wrong with it. Dust cover you can get from minersden.com.au

I recommend Ed from Texas Premium Detectors for the propointer. Good man to deal with.

I think the cover is worth around $20 - great little investment. keeps your control panel nice and clean. You'll be constantly hitting buttons so good to have it covered

Welcome to the site! i am glad to see young people getting involved in this great hobby! Good on ya! Beale.
