Hello Gaz,
Probably the best coil you can use on that MXT in the fields there is the 10 inch DD coil. In trashy areas I like the 5.3". Other folks like the 6 x 10. You will get used to the MXT real fast. I don't think I will ever use any other machine. Happy Hunting.
John

Welcome to the forum, there are a lot of helpful people and info on here. Good luck with your upcoming hunts.

Welcome. The 6x10 DD works really well with my MXT Pro for fields and open areas. Like John in NC stated, I really like the 5.3 for trashy areas and tot lots. i've done well with it thus far. Enjoy the forum. Its a great place to learn some helpful tips. Just my opinion. CCH

Welcome to the forum and you picked a winner with the mxt.
As said if you hunt in any trashy areas you will need a smaller coil I bought the 4x6 dd shooter and couldn't be more pleased with it I can crank up the gain with that little coil in places I wasn't able to do with the round coil without it going haywire.
