Hello to all members
I just joined your forum and look forward to sharing some info with you guys.

A little about me
I am a full time small scale gold prospector based in australia, I spend at least 200 days per year in the field looking for gold with various tools and equipment but mostly use the Minelab GPX 5000 for this purpose.
I have owned the CTX 3030 since its release in australia.
I use it to find gold, old coins and jewelry in the high trash areas in the gold fields, but also use it to find old coins and jewelry in old parks and other old areas when not in the gold fields.
I also use it when I visit my wives family in Europe to find treasure, I am also an expirenced treasure hunter with allot of good finds under my belt.

Any way I look forward to sharing some info with you guys

hello aurumpo

SInce You haven't been on this forum long enough yet I could not send a PM to you. This is a reply to what you posted in the "Ideas" over in the CTX Resource page. Since that is for ideas, I didn't want to start adding replys into it.

You can get your Modes arranged pretty much as you like with this method.

You may already know this about loading the Modes from the XChange2 to the CTX. If downloading Modes one at a time, the Modes load in a "stack". The first Mode you download will be the first on the stack. As you load more individual Modes they will fall down below and fill the first available empty "slot" in the stack. Example: if you have 3 Modes loaded, the next single Mode you download will fall down in the 4th slot. So now lets say, that after you loaded the 4th Mode you see the Mode in the number 2 slot is not the one you want there and delete it using the delete Mode function in the CTX. That leaves the 2 slot open, so the next single Mode downloaded will fill the 2 slot, not go to the bottom of the stack which would have been the 5 slot. This may be "clear as mud"...............Good Luck............

Hi C&RHunter
Thanks for the repy.
I did know that but I find it anoying to have to go through a conveluted process instead of just being able to number the modes and
copy them at once in my prefered order.

I would also like some more coil options I realy liked the coilteck 15in coil on the etrack and think it would be a real winner on the CTX,
and while their at it a 10x5in coil for when I'm in the gold fields as the 6in is painful to use as its like painting a wall with an artists brush,
but the 11in is just not sensitive enough to pick up small gold (smaller than 1g) at a usable depth.

Thanks unearth
If you want to se some of my previous finds and work on the CTX you can cheack them out here:

Hi Aurumpro
Got the CTX recently and am really impressed with it
I checked out your review, very comprehensive and well done on the sov's
I would love to find one of those and perhaps even a nugget!!
The beaches is where I spend most of my detecting time and currently in an aussie ring shootout, bagged 15 gold rings so far this year
Welcome
Cheers

Howdy! I'm Bryan from Missouri. The only gold we have here is in jewelry form! Good hunting.

Welcome from central Pa. Not much gold around here in the raw form ,but we make do. Great review on the 3030. Look forward to your posts.
