Hello, new to this forum

jeffwv

New member
I am not new to detecting just new to Minelab. I have a EXII and would like to know exactly how to save my disc. pattern. I am very new to tones and programs. Any help would be appriciated. Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Welcome to the forum you will find a wealth of information here from a lot of really nice guys.

To save you discrimination pattern, after you have been through the learn mode and taught the EX II what you want it to detect, down in the bottom right corner of the screen you should see a little box if you select this it will allow you to save your pattern in S1, S2 etc.
Usually I do a pattern for coins and a separate pattern for jewelery and save them into S1 and S2, subject to where I am I recall either one or put both of them up together to cover the lot.

All the best.....Boony

Hi Jeff,
I'm new here too. Been here a little over a week I guess. I enjoy the guys and like Boony said "a wealth of information".

:geek: Welcome aboard! You can also combine your patterns together if you want to by going into advanced/select. Scroll down until you see the S1 through S6. These are your saved patterns.
Good luck and happy hunting grounds to ya!

Welcome jeffwv!

I am also semi-new, as I have had my EX II for only about 10 months now - but what a difference and what a machine.

I have not done much in saving patterns yet and neither has Savage really, scared I will miss something I guess - more than anything else and also since I dig more than either of my hunting partners. But I have been following what Sunzabeach has been doing with it and his experimentation and he has become quite good at it and has more than a few very good patterns saved.

Interesting that all three of us has an EX II and that we hunt together a lot and may have a big advantage over others in our club, since we all try different things while at the same site, then compare and help each other adjust, learn and enjoy the hobby together. THUS, just what the Forum here does, except the razzing is a little thicker in the field!:buds:

Many of them here would be what I would call "big-time" experts and I visit the Forum when I can, read and only just recently started to reply, as we three can only do so much and there are just so many here with information that every time I visit, I learn something new - and I mean every time. And they razz each other well too - so it feels like home.

Again welcome and good luck

I am really new here as well and you will not find a better group of guys and better instruction on your Explorer than here. They have helped me a great deal already.
Stephen

I am sure I will have a ton of questions. Jeff
