Hello everyone.. I'm new to this site and to md'ing. I've been interested in it for quite awhile but never buckled down and bought a machine. I've done my fair share of researching rules, regulations and etiquette so hopefully when I do get going I do it all right :D. Hubby must've grown tired of hearing me whine about how much I wanna start md'ing but didnt want to pay the prices for a machine that he surprised me for xmas with an Ace 350 :D woohooo! Now I can't wait to get started! Any tips, tricks, suggestions on detecting and/or the machine will be appreciated!

I too have a ACE 350. Great coin hunter for sure. Good tones that are solid. The pinpointer on mine seems to come and go but gets the job done. What do you mainly want to hunt for? If it is coins you are going to be happy. I tend to hunt overall and if a coin comes up that is great. I have found the tone of the the ACE on certain items like aluminum to sound awesome but then you dig and get some disappointment. No TID values like the Deus or other machines but really you need to learn tones. That would be my 2 cents to get you started. Do test of certain items over and over to get those tones embedded in your audible memory.

Welcome Jess from Northern CA. I do not use the ACE but hear it is a great machine. I am sure there are some pro's here on the site that can help you with any questions
 
you have a good machine but you need to ask you questions on the garrett forum, may not be many garrett users on this forum. good luck
