Hello, I'm a new member here.

Southborn

New member
Hello everyone,
I have just registered as a new member to this forum and I would like to
present myself now:
I am a South american living in Germany with my family.
I joined here in Europe to this metal detecting hobby, which I find awesome
and made many friends this way.
I love american and european history, and this helped me to learn even much more
of both continents..
I hope to make friends here too.
Best Regards, Mike

rebels, if the laws are restrictive there, it certainly doesn't seem to have much of an impact. There are scores of hobbyists there. And I suspect if you did find some rules or laws, they would apply to govt. land, not private. So, just like in England for example, you can hunt a farmer's fallow field, with permission, till you're blue in the face. Or quite frankly, they're so far back in the forests, there's no one to care less anyhow. Unfortunately, a lot of people read dire sounding rules for other countries (even the USA if you read deep enough) will assume that md'ing is a no-no. But unless you're a shipwreck salvor, or raiding pyramaids or historical monuments, reality is often a different thing. Despite supposed dire sounding laws in practically every European country besides England, there are hobbyists in every single European country, who are probably just using due discretion and common sense.

Welcome Southborn. What kind of detector do you use? Be sure to check out that forum and ask away. Lot's of good and knowledgable people here.
Good hunting Gary

Welcome to the Sight Southborn.Do you relic hunt?coin hunt?or anything that the dirt gives back to us.Any good finds you can tell us about?

Hello,
thanks for your welcome greetings !

We are living in a heavy populated area of Germany, therefore I have not many chances
of hunting here in open fields.
But last year while visiting South America for some months,I had the chance to hunt there
some fields and found many interesting relics. Some pics I could post here.
Last year I hunted there with an old US Wildcat metal detector, now I bought an
ACE 250 waiting for my next hunt with some better outfit.
