I am from Monterrey; it is in northeast Mexico, 2.5 hours form Laredo, TX. I

I've found quite a few modern Mexican coins here in Texas and they hit pretty much in the pulltab/nickle range. Your older silver coins should give you a real nice Garrett Belltone, the sound of money!!! The one silver coin I found, an 1896 8 reale, nearly blew my headphones off, great coin!! Keep us posted on your sucess!!
