I normally post on CMD and Minelab Explorer forums, however I am interested in beach hunting here lately, as I live on the Ms Gulf Coast. I don't want to risk my Explorer in shallow surf, so any recomendations for a beach detector? Hope you have a great day, and don't forget mom!

I prefer a PI unit because I believe they get better depth, and salt water and mineralization are not a factor. They will not discriminate but I will dig ALL targets at the beach anyway because I am looking for gold only. Would hate to cancel out a small wedding band with a huge stone in it. Just my 2 cents.
