Hello everyone

I'm Wayne and new to the forum(s) here. I live in Pleasant Garden, NC, just south of Greensboro. I detected many years ago (30-35?) in VA and NC for CW relics with a Nautilus. Loved it but just got away from it. I've fly fished for trout and hunted for deer and turkey. It just feels right to be getting back into detecting and my son-in-law is getting into it, too. I've been following this AT forum for a couple weeks and your remarks cemented my decision to order an AT Pro, and your remarks helped me find a great buy and a good guy at Big Boys Hobbies (thanks, Bart!). The Pros are on the truck and we may have them by Friday and we are rarin' to go do some diggin'.
I look forward to getting to know you fellows and gals better over time. I am impressed with the cordiality and helpfulness here on the forums.

Welcome to the ATP/AT Gold forum and all the best with your new machine and good luck on your hunts!
Cheers!

welcome aboard you will have some good times ahead and the at pro is a lot of fun to use i got a high end explorer wich is a great detector but i still take out my at pro most of the times as its just fun to use and makes great finds

Hey nugget71, thanks for your welcome. So you are in Australia. One of my favorite ladies, Elizabeth Cook, singer and host of "Apron Strings" on SiriusXM Outlaw Country has just finished up a 2 week tour in your country. I look forward to following your posts.

Welcome to the forums, Wayne! Lucky you - lots of history in NC!

Hey, John-Edmonton, thank you for your post. I have made jerky but not in a long while. My son-in-law, who I hope joins us here, sometime, made some in December. But it's all gone. :(

Yes, teleman2525, looking forward to getting out with the Pro. I wish I could use it to find the relics I have misplaced somewhere here in the house <g>. Thanks.

William-NM,
I hope you are correct, sir, that I am lucky <g>.
I guess I've had my share. So far, that is. I really think it's time I had some more. We'll see.
Yes, NC has its history, but I am sure that NM has a rich past, too. Just not nearly the number of relic droppers and flingers as we have had on our ground. Lots of our relics have been paved over by now, unfortunately. Sort of like Henry III.

The reason I was asking, is that I made 3 lbs of moose jerky on Saturday and another beef jerky tonite after work. There's a lot of great talent on this forum......glad you joined!

Welcome to you and your son-in-law. Got my AT/Pro yesterday and want to try it out tomorrow in the field. Did some bench testing today and will do some more before I hit the field. The Garrett AT/Pro videos are great, also. You and John are right, good jerky doesn't last long around my house. I don't make it, but I sure can eat it. Good luck to both of you and happy hunting. Hope to see you post some photos soon as you get your detectors in the mail and get in the field.

Welcome Wayne you'll this forum..and I hope you guys come out swinging with those new AT Pros....... I really think you'll be very happy with them.. An incredible machine for the price...Welcome back to the hobby also!
