down and back Friday and picked up my sister. We stopped and ate and I had an eggnog shake and a MacRib which McDonald's only has once in a while. I enjoyed both! My sister stayed Fri night with me. We rec'd a call Sat from my brother in FL and wished him a Merry Christmas!
Then because it got dark, our brother (the twin to my sister) came and picked us up and we had Christmas Eve with him, his family and many, many more who came and exchanged gifts with lots of delicious food to eat! Carolyn stayed with them and Larry brought me home. I rec'd calls on Christmas Day from my 3 children and we wished each other Merry Christmas! I intended to go back to Larry's that day but just too tired so I watched TV and went to bed early!
Monday, my sister-in-law brought Carolyn over to my house and then she picked us both up and we went with her, her daughter and grandson to see the Christmas Light Displays...one was with live animals near me which we got to feed and pet, the next was Our Lady of the Snows (IL)...beautiful huge areas of lights with Camels and animals to ride and see, but we didn't get out of car, as her grandson was asleep! We visited the lights at Anheuser Busch (beautiful also) and then went to Tilles Park Display of lights in West County.....most gorgeous of all! Sean was awake to see them and we throughly enjoyed everything there!
After that Wanda brought Carolyn and I back home and she stayed the night and then Tues I took her back home! I was going to come back the same day, but ended up staying the night with her and came back today. Got home by 3:15 pm tired and joyful with all that I was blessed to have and be with for Christmas! Both Fri and Tues were warm, sunshiny days for traveling...a blessing from the Lord unto me, as I did the driving.
The little car did great and although it misted a little now and then, I never had to use the wipers and no trouble on the Interstate at all!! God is definitely good to His Children! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus!!
Congrats to all for the posts,kind words, poems and to the winners of the contests! Sorry about not posting sooner but I was busy and had a great time visiting, sleeping and resting in Jesus' love! Read most of the posts but just couldn't answer all! Didn't know the specific needs for prayers but was praying for God to meet each need whatever it is or was!
