I have a question to ask about settings.. Thanks appreciate it very much..

OK I didn't get any Pm's let me ask the question in open forum.. When you go into menu disc settings Preset settings On select you have Coins, Fe coins, and Jewelery along with other settings..if you X out your jewelery do you lose Quarters, Dimes, pennies etc.. Mine does. no beep on the good coins...Takes the whole top right smart screen out.. Is this normal ?? Or does my machine have a problem.

My detector does the same thing. It might be easier to answer your question if I knew what setting you were trying to go for. I run mine in Iron Mask 22, so I am hearing everything except for certain iron targets.

I assume you cleared the screen if so yes if you DISC OUT jewerly coins go bye bye..... well so so. IF you get within a couple inches of the coil you hear the pop at the end of the swing with the null. Its not a coin sound on a quarter more of an attempt to come thru because the target is almost on the coil. Thats tipical on most machines. Like on a DFX if you disc out a target that might have a digital reading it can disc out other targets within 5 digits either way. I read somewhere that if you try to manually block out/EDIT the upper right you cant.

McDave I wasn't looking for any particular setting.. Just playing around with settings and very surprised the coins went with jewelery Elimination.. Thought I might have a faulty processor since Jewelery is usually much lower on the scale than say A quarter... Though it could be a Silver item in Jewelery.. I still expected lower elimination on the scale and not the upper right corner being blocked out on smart find screen..

Elton -- when you "X" out something, you are DISCRIMINATING that. When you put a check mark next to it, you are "accepting it." They are opposites. So, if you put a check mark next to coins, you are ACCEPTING coins, and this pattern will disc out basically the left side of the screen; BUT -- if you put a check mark next to the coins, you disc out the RIGHT side of the screen; everything, every pixel, that was "accepted" before, is now rejected, and vice versa. In other words, you are "rejecting" coins and "accepting" iron and trash! Make sense?

Minelab says it is override discrmination... Brian is the tecs name.. When I go to select...First screen in menu second down is select.... Coins, Fe Coins, Jewelery.. etc etc put a check in coins,
put an x in Jewelery..Us coins are knocked out on the right hand side of smart find screen. Yet when you put jewelery in only a tiny area on mid screen bottom lightens up.. So I thought something was wrong with the SE when the whole right side upper to lower part of screen darkened and knocked out US coins.. I just wanted to make sure I did not have a defective machine.. Usually if one issue is there, more you don't know about could be possible. If someone would try their machine..X out Jewelery and see if yours still detects US coins I would appreciate it very much..

All is normal on My Se pro..... Per Minelab If you select out jewelery you will lose US Coins from Dime through Quarters and Pennies.. Indians etc.. Nickles will still respond..
