this is real stupid,but.....

i got a 4x6 shooter dd coil that has lost its sticker(so i cant tell if it a blue max or eclipse(dfx etc)..i had an old xlt and cant remember if i had the shooter coil when i sold it,and im pretty sure i had a shooter for my m6 and dfx,but without the sticker i cant tell..i dont really want to stick it on my m6 and bugger it is there a way to identify it? it has the same pinouts as the xlt and dfx (nice one whites :) )......

cheers :)

If it says Eclipse, it is for the DFX, M6, MXT family. Blue Max is for the XLT, 6.59 kHz line and the Prizm is self explanatory.

thats the problem:).. the sticker is gone, lol :)

Oops, I should have read ALL of your post..... Duh......

The only other suggestion would be call White's with the serial number. I don't think it would hurt anything if you tried it on your detector, they are the same wiring just wired for different frequencies.

Now, Some had DX on the ear of the loop to identify them as an Eclipse coil. I believe some of the Bluemax coils had an MT on ear of the loop. I would double check and give the factory a call. Anyhow, if it is a bluemax and you put it on the M6 it won't damage your unit - it just won't work.
