HELICOPTERS, RAIN AND LOOT

Went out on a calculated hunt yesterday, was due to rain mid afternoon and I knew the beach was packed.
Turned up at the beach at around 3.30 pm, as I got there the scanners burst into life, the coastguard and the beach lifeguards discussing a casualty on the beach.
I got kitted up with the Goldscan 5 and headed onto the beach, just as I got there, in flew the air ambulance to pick up the guy on the beach, as it took off, the smell of aviation fuel filled my nostrils, and the downdraught from the rotors put me off balance. As the chopper veered left to the local hospital, i focused on the job in hand.

Two faint signals yielded 2 pieces of trash, but the third one revealed my first 18 ct wedding band.
I was well chuffed, and didn't mind if that was my lot for the day.

Then, as prdeicted the rain started falling, I looked back up the beach to see tents and towels flying left right and centre as people rushed off the beach.
Bingo.....back to the van I went, strapped my Excalibur to my back, and went down onto the top of the beach.

I had the beach to myself, the rain was thumping down, but I was happy, and then things started to happen, over the next 2 hours i managed to snag.......
1 x 925 ring
1 x 925 cross with chain
1 x large locket ( brass i think )
1 x 925 plated solitaire ring
1 x surfer's bracelet
1 pair of Italian designer sunglasses

I've only heard that expression from my Scottish stepfather. Great plan, using the rain to your advantage, I do the same whenever possible. I'm in the water up to my neck anyways so what's the difference if it rains? No lightning though.:nono: I bet you had the whole beach to yourself, including other pirates with non-waterproof machines.

Great Looking Pile of Swag, Pastyman!

Cheers,

BDA:cool:

GH,

The 18ct was only a few inches down, must have been lost on that falling tide.

It was kinda spooky being the only person on the beach, even the lifeguards retreated to the hut, only 15 mins earlier you couldn't get a fag paper between people.

Thanks for reading guys
