Heat Hunting

Not today... Went out Wednesday after work to our town square to clean up after the carnival left. I set my sensitivity at 2/15, then only used a screwdriver for surface recovery. I found a total of $3.28 with a 1946 nickel and I left in an hour. I picked up many broken plastic forks and some glass. I will be going back for more broken glass soon. The kids do run around barefooted so I do help clean hazards in parks. I started picking up glass in 1985 from my hunting spots and have been rewarded by finding some good coins under this trash and kids having safe fun.

Our fireworks are on the 3rd, each year, so I always go up to the FB field and pick up the drops. They are calling for 94 degrees plus each day, now til then. I did stop by a wooded park Tuesday morning for a couple hours. I was working some higher ground and had no trouble with skeeters at all. But I didn't go very deep into woods. I just don't think there is enough standing water for them to breed as much as normal. If this drought would of came this fall after the beans were out, we and the farmers could all be happy.

Wow, it is HOT out there and it is hard for me to catch my breath just letting the dogs out, I can't imagine trying to hunt in this weather. It is amazing how much glass is in the ground already from reckless people who simply don't care. Thanks for picking up the recent accumulation.

Had to have some work done on my foot yesterday and cant get my shoe on. Looks like I picked a good time to have it done because there is no way I'm going out in this weather.
