Went for a spin on monday with Huntress. She had repoed the Excal 800, so I was running the Aquasearch. We had many errands in the am, but were finally in the water by 1115P, with ESE 15-20, into a 126P 0.1L. It was a little bricky, beyond the 3rd bar but not too bad closer in. We were hunting, what used to be a clean surf area, but a possible recent replenishment has left a nail bed to contend with at this location, in the lane and shallow mine. I tried the deep mine and it was quiet (no troughs). She was not doing well in the lane either. I ended up with a pouch of nails and $.12 (sorry Max, chunked the nut from here). We relocated just after 1P to another clean surf area. Huntress was hunting the lane and I headed to the mine, around waist deep. There was a distinct trough that had developed between the bars (Craig PI zone). Targets began to show in patches. Trash to treasure ratio here was excellent. Ended up with $1.49 in clad. 2 ferrous hoops, what appears to be a .925 w/cz earring (.925 is real hard to make out). The crucifix is not marked and had some tarnish when found. I gave it a scrape and 10K held, but I still think its plated (gold looks thin). The little girl necklace charm is 10K. I hunted around both of these necklace charms HARD looking for the chains. I almost had a signal on 1, but lost it when I attemped to excavate it (should have dove down and fanned the hole out). The AWESOME find of the day is the ID bracelet. It was still buckled together as you see it. It is 14K and is a hefty 14.2 Gs. Did a quick scrap calculation on it last night and came up with just under $160. Not bad for a days work in the mine 'eh? GH
