I saw the glint of gold in the dirt and it WAS a ring but the VDI was a little high. After a wash I knew it was not solid gold but it WAS stamped 16K Filled which means 20% 16K by weight. It's a keeper but the highlight of the day was a Seated dime, 1889. Not that I haven't found my share of Seated coins but this dime completes my dime quest from the old school yard I have been hunting for 20 years. I have taken friends hunting there and they have found Seated dimes but no, not me........ until today....
I guess my next goal for the old school yard is a half dime.

Not knowing or not if the coin was a Barber or a Seated, he was in awe when the water cleaned it so he could see the "Seated" lady.
That Seated dime is a pretty one. Congrats on you completing your dime finds from there.
I bet you were pretty happy when you pulled the Seated.
and with a seated no less, congrats.
