hearing aid.

If that was the reason that you have to wear H/A's, then you might well be. That's why I wear them, and why I run Detectorpro Black Widow headphones...

Hi, just getting back into detecting after 3 yrs of none. Well, since then I am now wearing hearing aids. The behind the ear style. I have not tried wearing them while detecting yet mostly from fear of losing them.

I also think I am missing the high tones & could be why I lost interest before. I use Gray Ghost head phones, I'm going to try aids on this Saturday. Any suggestions?

I also wear hearing aids and have the C.I.C. type, when I first got them I tried, I had two pair of Original No Down Time Grey Ghost head phones and found I had to much feed back and when I went to take them off they sucked the hearing aids out. Luckily I was on black top by my car and felt them go and spotted them on the ground. Anyway for the next year I had to take them out when using the headphones and felt as if they weren't working properly. I placed them back in and the sounds were better but was afraid of losing them plus the feed back was to much. I later read about the Sunray Pro Golds and bought a set of them. Problem solved and my finds have increased dramatically. The new headphones are made for hearing aid compatible from what I read.Believe me head phones are not cheap but a lot cheaper than hearing aids. Not sure but as an after thought the Grey Ghost could have been extremely tight around the ears causing the feed back and suction when removing. I have no intention of trying anything else as I am now satisfied with the Pro Golds that work for me.
Hope this adds some input
JB
