those things fall everywhere, you just never know. I know if I found one, I would never sell it unless it was some amazingly
rare peice, like the Fukang meteor, now that is a cool peice!!

The Thumb area was hit by several in the 1800s causing forest fires because the ground was dry and no rain...I know of a camp in Grand Rapids that had put in a swimming pool and before the cement hardened a meteorite fell into it. They buried the swimming pool and dug another one in a different spot.
