Heard the mxt and the m6 share the same internal board?

was wondering one of the guys at whites told me the mxt and the m6 have the same internals just the prospecting and relic modes are not hooked up on the m6 motherboard .hmm wonder if its true. Any ideas? because if its true they should have the same coin and gold jewlry capability.

I'm pretty sure you are correct. As I have said before, a the M6 is a simplified MXT.

[size=large]i've read time and again if you're not into prospecting then just get the m-6. the gurus all seem to agree the m-6 is a baby brother to the mxt.

I doubt the software code for the other MXT modes is on the M6 board, so that even if things are connected it probably won't work, but then again stranger things have happened.

[size=large]sounds like when you buy a car. all the plug-ins are included but you must buy the certain package to have the options connected.
the bord may be the same but the software isn't programed the same. i may have repeated what critterhunter just said basically.

It's the same board but the MXT has more stuff on the board. The M6 board has a few places where components are not installed. Yes the MXT and M6 has the same capability in finding coins and jewelry. Except the MXT had a panel mounted threshold. Having the threshold adjustement can get you a tiny bit more sensitivity to small and deep targets. But not much. But the M6 has an internal threshold trimmer that can be adjusted to your liking for your threshold. I've adjusted it on my M6's and it works fine. If you get one you can PM me and I'll walk you through the process. It takes about 5 minutes.

Cool thanks khouse I like the silent threshold even though im sure theres I slight advantege to threshold. So far like the M6 alot
