Headsets

Which are the most comfortable headsets to use to make some headphones?

Pro Ears Ultra 28 or 33's, what most of the makers of detector headphones use.
Or the Howard Leight Bilsom L1's non-folding or the L2F folding models same ones favored by Chefphones in the UK.

Visit my headphone build:

Check out your thrift stores for mylar speakers in the used headsets you find there. I found two very nice hi-end headsets for $2.00 each.

Pel-tors/3m/105's with Gel EarPads, db rating of 30
3m/pel-tors 25 dollars Lowes, Silicon Gel Pads Aircraft Spruce range from 20 to 40 dollars, all a 100% improvement over stockers

Wow gel pads, first I ever saw or heard about them.
Any problems with them causing sweating?
Something to look into, especially since some cheap headset pads hurt after awhile.

The gel pads have never been uncomfortable to me and they make a nice addition to stock head phones without much of an investment in labor or cash. If you are not worried about how well the headphones keep out sound (db rating) just adding the pads makes an improved set of phones.

Yes they do get hot, and sweaty on those smoker days....but 95% of the time, easy on the head..here is what my best friend says about them....
