Heads Up for future GT Owners

Sounds to me like Minelab is pushing people into the cheaper to build digital machines that they can make more money on ....If you want the GT , you will now pay the price and they will make the same profit on older technology ..... They'll keep makin em , if we keep payin for em !!...... They loose money because of their own mistakes and charge us to make up the difference ......Big Kahoona's me thinks !!.....Jim

Exactly my thinking. The At Pro might not be the detector that the Sovereign is when it comes to beach hunting. But it set the bar as far as what people feel is a good price. For 200.00 more I want Water Proof!
***************** Well i was going to cancell my AT Pro but today i called and told them to send it ........And the end of January or first of february some time after they up the price on the Sovereign .....I will sell my Sovereign for a nice profit......

That is the way I look at it Critter.

Just make sure you are comfortable with the fact that that AT Pro isn't going to get the depth of a Sovereign, in particular in high minerals or salt. The AT Pro is a great machine being that cheap for a water machine, yet light enough and with a full LCD display for land hunting, but don't fool yourself into thinking it's in the same league depth/performance wise as a Sovereign. I don't think it will be.
