Headphones

Is this the Bluewave Cordless you're using?

Any signal problem with coil interference?

I plan to purchase my X-70 in the next month or so and right now trying to decide on headphones. I might either go with the Detectorpro Uniprobe headphones or Detectorpro Rattler and get a Uniprobe. I'm still up in the air as to what my primary focus will be. The Rattler headphones are nice here in snake country during summer, but I think most of my gold hunting will be during winter and do parks/home sites during summer.

The one thing I do know from my research is that you really shouldn't skimp on headphones. At least that's what most experience hunters tell me.

Was that the Bluewave Cordless you were using (see above pic from my last post here).

Does anyone else have an opinion on using wireless headphones?

I've been using my ipod earphones but the slightest tug on the cord sends them flying out of my ears.

The picture is the same Blue Wave "phones I'm using. I don't understand the question about coil interference?

Well, using my 2-way radios to communicate triggers interference via the coil. Some people will even avoid working within a few hundred feet of any Power Lines for the same reason. Mobile phone signals can occasionally cause interference too. This is why Noise Cancel is used to reduce pickup on radio and other high frequency signals which
otherwise trigger a response from the detector. Even with Noise Cancel in place and set up to accommodate my 2-Way radios , my X-70 still "burps" a bit when I use the squelch button to chat to my buddy on the field.

Just wondered in the headphones caused any problems. Looks like a good set. Are you happy with the signal range (tones) they transmit from the detector?

So far I'm very happy with them, but as I said before, I've only been out with them a couple times, about an hour each time.
