Headphones

I'm looking for a set of headphones, as my 250 didn't come wit5h them. Seeing as I only spent 200 on the detector I don't really want to spend 100 on the phones. Can anyone reccomend some? I dont think the 250 has volume control so the phones should have a volume nob or something.

Aint nuthin' wrong with the :garrett: ones with the volume control on them.
We've both got them and they work as good as anything else.

The ACE has no volume control and is VERY LOUD. You will be shopping for a miracle ear in a few years if you dont get headphones with a volume control.

The Garrett headphones sat ON my ears and became very uncomfortable very quickly. I got a pair of Troy Pro headphones where my ears fit inside the cups, made all the difference. As everyone else said, get headphones with volume control and make sure they're comfortable.

Go ahead and buy a quality set of phones, Gray Chost, Killer Bs, etc. Don't compare their cost to the detector cost (unless you can't afford them to begin with). The cool thing about headphones is that they have a plug and can be removed and used on your next detector. If you like the hobby you will probably stay with it. If you stay with it, buy somehting you can continue to use as you move up with a detector. I bought two pair of cheap phones (20 ea.) and missed a bunch of stuff with them. They broke within a couple of months. I wish I would have put the $40 toward a $80 set of good phones.

YOU DONT just use head phones ,for noisy places, HEAD PHONES or best used for deep coins faint signals,THE really old stuff!!!!
happy HUNTING!!!!:crylol:
