headphones...

I'm running my old Jolly Rogers skull and crossbone headphones I got years ago. am I missing any tones or anything by not using the Koss phones that came with my e-trac? the reason I use the Jolly's is the fit...they fit snug and don't move around, the Koss feel so huge and slip off if I bend down. no I don't have a tiny head! thanks for the input

Try a pair of "Killer B - Wasps" - ultra comfortable (real leather muffs) - excellent sound and the size adjusts very easily - the nicest headphones I've ever used !
The leather ear muffs are warmer in the winter - much cooler in the summer and last a lot longer than vinyl muffs.

I use grey ghost ultimate headphones and I had to send them back to have the cord repaired so I was forced to use the koss headphones until I got my grey ghost back and needless to say I ordered a spare set of grey ghost so that would not happen again.

Headphones are a personal choice based on your hearing and preferences. I started with the Koss and was fine with them until the cord failed and I had to replace them.

I then went with Grey Ghost because they suit my hearing loss. I now use Grey Ghost NDT with Grey Ghost Ultimate's for a backup (I bought the Ultimate's first and NDT's when cord failed. They sound a little different than the NDT's). I also have a set of Sunray Pro Gold that I received with a used E-Trac that I traded for but don't use them.

I am so used to the Grey Ghost sound that I don't want to change because all other headphones sound "different" to me now and the tones don't sound right.

I would recommend try different headphones (borrow from friends if possible) to find which sound best for your ears.

Good luck in your search for the right ones!

I switched to Rapoo wireless and love em. Before that I used the Koss and liked them too.

The sun rays gold pros are the best in my opinion. I now have two pair.
I ordered a pair of gray ghost and sent them back after the 1st day.
They sounded no where near as clear as the golds.
I ordered the wasps as well.
Ended up selling them because they were no where near as clear as the golds.
This has puzzled me because I have heard so many good things about both sets that I got rid of?
It is my opinion that the Etrac has such a variety of tones that some headphones cannot keep up?
Point, sold the wasps to a buddy with a fisher F75. They sound correct for the limited toned produced by that machine.
I may be wrong about the whole thing, but this is my opinion and what I have experienced.
