headphones

will any headphones work with the racer, the cord on the stock ones is to short
The lightweight, lower impedance headphones supplied with the Racer Pro Pack are really kind of a "good gesture" in my opinion. I would not recommend them for any serious metal detecting, partly due to th4 short cable, but mostly due to the lower impedance and limited audio quality. Plus they are not comfortable.

I encourage anyone to invest in a quality set of headphones. I carry my Killer B 'Wasp' and White's Pro Star headphones with me at all times. Better comfort, better audio response, and worth the investment.

Yea! I agree with monte, I did't like the ear phone that come with my racer. My hearing not what used too be. Guest because of using some them older detector's over the yr's. I use gray ghost & black widow earphone on my racer & they work great.

why dont they get the wifi phones sorted ?
it was a half hearted attempt so far IMO

all that big a rage, percentage wise, and while some folks might like them they also have to fit into their budget.

I know that the original approach provided headphones that worked, but there is a delay and I, myself, also wished they worked better. In time we might see the improved offering, but until then I just rely on one of the two quality sets of headphones I use now.

I use ear buds. They are great for hot weather and I hear every little beep.

Jdeiana, which ear buds are you using for your hunts? I'm interested in some ear buds, but am concerned about the short cable length! Which do you use?

Thanks,
Bubba

i use the rapoo wireless headphones, only $40 bucks and loud and clear with volume control, work great in the racer..the charge lasts 6 hours..

undrpar, Do you know which model number your headphones are? Are they 2.4 gHz or 4.0 gHz?

so far all of mine do even the uniprobe

I've used the rapoos in the past as well. They work great and are a cheap way to go wireless and unique tethered. Just an fyi, mine lasted about 9 months of moderate use before they stopped working.
Now I'm using the TDK wr700. They cost more, but seem much better quality than the Rapoos.

I have the Rapoo headphones as well and they work but the tones are very muted & flat compared to my killer b's. I only use them in the extreme heat or when I want to go out as light & low key as possible.
