I have killer b 's originals , they are good headphones . But I have had many cheap ones that were louder. Killer b's have a lifetime warranty too. I want black widows because my hearing is not what it used to be. To much shooting guns without earmuffs. Grey ghost or killer b's are both good phones though.

I went with the, Gray Ghost NDT's. I like them alot.Plus, they come with 2 cords.

Black Widows are the business,very comfortable and very sharp on signals with plenty of volume.

One other point. What do you use with your X-Terra's ?

Headphones with a Sound Limiter permanently built-in 'or' without one built-in ?

Headphones with a Sound Limiter switch in the ON 'or' OFF position ?

The same for both the Coin & Treasure Mode and Prospecting Mode 'or' different positions ?

Its been a while since I've checked, but I believe the Killer B's volume limiter does not function with an X-Terra (it does function on some other makes and models though). It doesn't matter though because the X-Terra's have a built-in volume limiter, the volume control. For more information, see page 32 and 33 of your owners manual, and pay close attention to the graph at the bottom of page 33.

By the way, I have both the Killer B Wasp and the Killer B Stinger (single cup headphone). I like the Stinger better.

I bought a pair of Grey Ghost Ultimates last year and really like them. only a signal knob volume control (dual would be better) but they do have a compatability switch and a limiter switch. nice big ear cups too.
