Has anyone tried out those new Ratphones MSA compared to the Sunray Pro Golds?---If so which one did you like the best & why?--------Thanks, Del

Too tough of a question??----OK, let's try this one.--Has anyone tried the new Ratphone MSA's & if so, how do you like them (and why)?------Del

OKEEE----Me & my tuff questions!---Let's try this one then--Does ANYBODY use headphones ( & why)??

Yup!

I use Detector Pro UniProbe headphones, It has excellent headphones plus a deep pulse pinpoiner built in. And you won't loose the probe because it's attatched to the headphones. I have had mine since they first came out with them, and would not be without them for a minuite. They will work with my Tesoros,Whites and Fisher detectors. I have a pair the original RAT headphones, very comfortalble, but don't really use them much...........I'd sell them reasonable if you are interested, just PM me.

Shucks, doesn't everyone use headphones. Positives; 1. Stealth; you are less apparent to others. 2. Observers more tend to leave you alone, .....except kids. 3. I believe you pay more attention to what you are doing. 4. Bees and wasps don't fly around you so much, are they curious? 5. Some detectors don't have volume controls, like my LST, most headphones do. Negatives; 1. You are more at risk because you are less aware of your surroundings. 2. In parks where there are other folks, you've drawn lots of attention, maybe Billy-Bobs are less likely to bother you. 3 Will the constant BEEP BEEPing somewhat frighten bears and big kitties away, when you're in the woods. Hummmmm, lots to thing about.

Any one had experiences along these lines. Comments welcomed.

Well.............................. I wasn't going to...............but, yeah (if you look down, you'll find I'm shuffling my feet around a little, and my heads hanging down!) I just went and bought some Grey Ghost Ultimates off E-bay. 'you know, 'cause I just has to have that LIMITER thing.:unsure::unsure: So! Just like you rich Mine-lab guys, I'll never find enough fat nuggets to pay for all this stuff.....:sadwalk:

You got me all wrong there Dell

Ya, I collect old analog White's, Tesoro, and Fisher metal detectors, but I don't have deep pockets. For the price you paid for your E-Trac, it would have paid for 4 or 5 of my machines.

I used a cheap set from wally world, and I mean cheap. $4.99 with a small volume control on the cord.

They work fine, when they break Ill buy another pair. Also bought 4 sets from garage sales this summer for pennies. They work fine too but dont have volume control.

Tell me, What am I missing from using these cheap head sets??? Anything????

I also have 4 cheap sets of headphones thy do the job and are light. Have another pair for winter thy cost more and have volume control on them,

Hey Hombre-----It's only money!!----Besides that, I could ALWAYS mortgage my ole double wide if I got in a real "pinch"! ----Seriously though, I think the enjoyment ANY of us gets out of this great hobby FAR outweighs any expenditure we put into it (especially at my age).  ---------Del

WOW, there's a dude that lives in a double-wide. Probably out on the Eastern Oregon desert where I've heard gold nuggets are EVERYWHERE. Famous treasure hunter Sam Sneed? lived in a double wide there and amassed a small fortune in gold coins and silver. Go get 'em, D&P-OR
