All i got is a cheap pair of headphones looking for a better pair. Does any body no the difference in the impedence some gray ghosts are 16 ohms others are 150 ohms killer bs are 150 ohm? Which would work better on my tejon ? Do they make that much difference over my 25 dollar pair ? Thanks

was just looking the rat phones look like 300 ohm . the rat phone site looks like 300 ohm is whats needed Thanks for any input

You will need good quality headphones on your Tejon to hear the subtle language. You wont hear it with cheap, $25.00 phones.

I have been running the RAT phones for a while now. I really like them, very well made. i think you will hear a big difference, Beale.

While I haven't had a chance to formally test 'em yet, my darling wife got me a pair of Grey Ghost ultimates for Xmas for use with my Silver uMax. I gotta tell ya, the sound is night and day from the cheap ($30) of Sony 'phones I was using this past summer. Now it just needs to get above 30 so I can go test 'em at the park.

The ultimates have a pushbutton limiter. I' can't comment on this yet, but they look and feel very well made.

Come on warm weather!

As long as we are on the subject. Whats are the best headphones without full ear cups. Its too hot most of the year where I'm at, plus I need to hear whats going on around me in some places. I like the ones that go behind the neck. Thanks Sqwaby

In the last year, I been using the Ratphones and SunRay Gold Pro. Haven't had any problems with them yet, and haven't tried any other upper end headphones, well that's not totally true. I tried a few at a dealer but didn't go home with them to actually try them on my machines out in the field.
When the hot weather rolls back in, I may consider a single cup one-ear.
I started with headphones (yeah, cheap ones years ago) and have always used headphones. I wouldn't mind if detectors came with no built-in speaker.
