Headphones in Hot Weather

Maybe somebody has a solution...The problem is I have nice Grey Ghosts and love the way they keep out the external noise and the clean sound. But dang! They are hot. Mine get uncomfortably hot and sometimes I have to stop and take them off and let the air past my head and ears. I tried some light weight, foam covered headphones from Radio Shack and the sound was totally different. I could still tell what was what but they were boomy on nickels. Also had to put a 1/8 to 1/4 adapter on it. And was always fighting that tiny cord. I think their potential longevity is tiny cuz that cord takes some abuse. I finally shifted to the single phone Killer Bee. Good sound and since I only had about half the headset on my head it was about 50% better in the hot.

Anyone tackled this problem and found a good solution? Thanks...Jim

Jim there is someone that has posted about the ear buds. I don't like them in my ears. He uses those. I use to tell people they don't need a good pair of headphones. I got a pair of Black Widow and I don't say that anymore. I used to use Radio Shack titanium Pro 35 series. Very light and cool on the head for like $20 on sale. Now when I put them on I can't stand the sound. The outside noise wow! They are in the trunk for ??....Z

Jim----I use the Sunray Pro Golds & they are comfortable most of the time.---When it gets REALLY hot-I've got a pair of Koss lightweights I use that are really good (and comfortable).---I purchased them on the Jimmy Sierra site & they didn't cost too much (can't remember the exact cost).---I'm looking at them right now & they have an in-line volume control--90 degree 1/8" jack with a 1/4" adapter.--I like them just fine to use in really hot weather.---You might want to check them out on his site.-----Regards, Del

Thanks! I looked at those on Jimmy Sierra's. Might give em a shot. Jim
