headphones from dick smith (or tandy)

i went to dick smith electronics today, and there was a myriad of headphones. sanyo, well known brands etc. ranging from $10 to $100. are these headphones ok for the compadre, or must they be metal detector specific?

Hi Peter,

I would say the ansewer is no. The sound quality sucks.

Everyone wants to get out of buying quality headphones. Yes you can get a pretty good
set of stereo headphones from Radio Shack for $60 bucks or so. Then you get an adaptor.
Now with tax, you've got $75 tied up in a cheep pair of stereo headphones with a 3 month
warranty I would hate to try and rely on. Music stereo headphones sound muffeled.

I purchased a set of Killer B's for $76. No tax and no shipping. They sound wonderful.
When I abused them and yanked the cord loose, they fixed them free of charge, and
apologised for them breaking. They were back in my hands in 6 days, good as new.
I never have to buy another pair.

You can waste your money on cheep headphones, trying to find ones that will work ok.
That is an expensive proposition. I know because I've been there and wasted my money.

Now I'm set for life and don't have to keep trying to find an alternative for the best. I saved
my self a bunch of money and headakes.

Yaw keep on with your quest. I'm already here.

Enjoy the ride,

I'm from Arkansas.

Do you have a problem getting stuff shipped from

US dealers?

HH,

Go to page 2 of this forum and read the post titled "What Are The Best Headphones for the money" posted by fllawboy. You are going to get a lot of opinions and they are all good because its like everything else; what you like and what I like may differ and so we are both thinking that ours is the best but that is not necessarily true. Whatever works for me may not work for you and vice versa. Good Luck, bubba2
