I would really like some kind of wireless headphones - anybody had any success finding something that works?
Not sure how this answers my question but thanks

I have used grey ghost and own killer b's and I prefer the sounds and comfort of the killer b's better. I have ur 30 koss to but they are cheap made and are my backup to my killer b's.

If you want the best tones for minelab machines then it has to be the Gray Ghost's . Most other give duller tones.

I think the gray ghost have duller tones. But that is just my opinion.

Compared to what ? it depends how you set up the machine too.
Killer Bee's are a ? too me , Koss are a big Raspberry , Black Widows are another good set but them and the Gray Ghosts have to be put on max volume or they are too quiet , their only downside.

I keep mine on max volume. I don't really like the sound of my koss phones either. Gray ghost are way better than them. Gray Ghost are good but with my hearing a like te tone of killer b better.
You can't go wrong with gray ghost, killer b's or Sunray golds. Sunray's are made by killer b to. It's all about your hearing preference.

I really wanted wireless because (a) I detect in a lof of thickets and brush and (b) it is a pain digging (espeically on a slope) without the cord getting in the way constantly. I finally settled on the Sennheiser RS160 set (HDR 160 headphones + portable transmitter). The transmitter is a bit big, but it fits fine on the back of my 705 control box with a bit of velcro (or a couple of rubber bands in a pinch.) Doesn't add much weight, batteries last for hours and hours (I use rechargeable obviously), and most importantly there is no delay in the signal like I encountered with many bluetooth wireless headphones.

If you're interested, shop around. I picked up a refurbished pair for about 70% off retail, with a 1 yr warranty. (Check Amazon's "used" listings for scratch & dent and refurbs too.) Also, while the headphones that come with the RS160 are fine, I ended up also buying the headphones that come with the next model up. (HDR 180 - headphones only.) The 160s are completely closed, while the 180s are "open" so some sound can pass through. Makes it easier to hear your pinpointer
