Headphones for my SE?

Ted S

Well-known member
When I was out the last time I noticed my Koss headphones are starting to get a bit tattered on the earpieces. Is there a repair for this? Or should I replace them with something different? Thanks! Ted

If you purchase another set you then can send the old pair into KOSS. For a small amount of money you will have a second or backup pair.

Check their web site out for warranty, it's a real good one.

Thanks Tony! I am probably in the minority here because I like Koss headphones. If there is something better volumn wise then I am all ears!

I bought the Sunray Pro this past Winter and I'll never go back. Two of the nicer features on it is a shut off switch and leather earcups. The thing is built like a tank too! Flexible cable in cold weather, angled plug and overload cutout switch. Clik stop volume controls too. They're not cheap but will last a long time. I've destroyed 1 pair of Koss and the other one I got with the new used SE Pro I don't even use. Hope this helps!

Hey Ed! I just ordered a pair of the Pro Golds...Now I have to save up for an RNB battery before fall! Thanks for the tip!

RNB are okay but I went to a charger and the Amazon Basic Rechargeables. I'm getting about 18 hours from each set I bought. I had Eneloop but wore them out after 2 years. They still work but can only hold about 60% charge now. It may save you a few bucks going in this direction. I bought 2-8 packs to have 2 complete sets, 1 in the SE Pro and one backup, and already had a Intelli Charger 4. Beats buying AA's all the time. Congrats on the purchase of the new headphones. Let me know how you like them!

Ed...The headphones arrived Saturday. I like them. The best feature is the shut off switch when you are digging a target. It has been pretty toasty here so I only hunted an hour and a half each day. I ended up with 22 coins. There were four wheats,a 56 Rosie(Great Year Indeed!). The rest were clad and memorial cents. Thanks again for the tip! HH Ted
