Headphones for Explorer 11

Could anyone give me some feedback about wether they feel investing in a pair of headphones would be benificial. Are the Koss that come with the machine good enough or would a different set be better. The only things I don't like about the Koss is it does not keep out extearnal noise and no volume control. Which headphones would be recommended and what are some of the benifits that you like or that help you. THANKS ALOT CHEVY FROM OREGON

I have a explorer II and i did not like the fit of the Koss, the padding was soft but they did not fit as tight as i liked so i went with the Sun-Ray,Ive used them for about four month's and i really like them .But there are other brands that are good also, but i tried the Gray Ghost and the Sun-Ray when i was shopping around.Go to your nearest dealer and take your detector and try different ones thats what i did.

I really like the Black Widows. They are very comfortable, keep out the outside noise extremely well, and have the sound quality you need with a variable tone machine like the Explorer II. I have the Gray Ghost Originals also and they are very nice but I like the tones better on the Black Widows. I use the Gray Ghosts with my CZ-70 which is just a 4 tone machine and I like the way the tones hit better on them for the CZ.

of all the accessories you can get this would be the first to buy. X-1 will make the biggest and most significant improvement in your detecting. Good headphones a close second.
If you already have X-1 try the ratphones the next best bang for your buck.
Just my 2 zincs worth.

I bought a set of Timberwolf Explorer headphones, they hold out most of the noise, in fact I have to pull them away from my ears to talk to someone, they have a volume control too. and they are very comfortable.
