Headphones for E-Trac

Well-known member
Hi all,
My Etrac comes this week and I get a upgrade to any Detector Pro or Killer Bee head phone for free that I want.I have hunted all 11 years with the same pair of Grey Ghost phones.I have no complaints at all.I wonder If any of you have some experience with more then one model of phones with your Etrac or Explorer for that matter. At the moment I have asked to have the unit shipped with Killer Bee (wasp) model phones. Thanks for your input

I had mine shipped with the Greyghost.I am not familiar with any of them to be honest.i went by everyones advice that the greyghost had the changable cord which seemed like a good idea to me.Let us know how Your new ones are.

Did some testing in my coin garden last weekend with my partners killer bees, ratphones, and my sunray pro, gray ghost ndt. As the coins got deeper the gray ghost sounded better on my E-Trac...Happu trails 2 U

I use Sun Ray Golds that I have had for years but I always hear good things agout the Killer Bees but I am intersted in the Grey Ghost phones. I need a second set of phones just in case. I don't think I need the ones with the replacable cord, i've never broken any phones. What Grey Ghosts do you think are best... ?

anyone....

Hi Jbow

For noisy areas or windy days, &/or to hear it all, Black Widows.
For simple, light weight and comfy, I like the Nugget Busters NDT, (even though it ain't happened yet a cord can go at the worst possible time), great insurance against a ruined hunt.

I am not rough on my gear and I have had a cord go bad where it enters the jack and need to be replaced. Also with the NDTs you can put a cord on them with an 1/8" jack if you ever need that size. This is why I like the NDTs.

I have a pair of Gray Ghost Deep Woods headphones. I think they are very comfortable and block out alot of outside noise which is good then I can hear the deep faint signals.
Thanks

I have the Gray Ghost Headphones and they are great. I have used every type of headphones on the market for 41 years. The Gray Ghost are by far hands down better in my book. Just my opinion. HH...Jesse.
