Headphones for BHID

WWII DR

New member
I have a beach hunter ID and i simply hate the stock headphones. They do not have a volume control and they are uncomfortable when used for more than a couple of hours. Both of the conditions sure cause headaches and take away from having a good time MD ing. Has anyone changed out your headphones and if so what did you use. My warranty is about up so am not worried about that or the possibility of not being totaly water tight. I would settle for some type of volume control for the headphones . So any ideas?

If you are not putting the head set under water, Gray Ghost have good sets with controls & many other companys. You can take it to your local store & see if they will wire it for you. Or do it yourself, it's not hard

Hi WWII DR,

If the problem is too much volume, the sound can be toned down a bit by putting rubber gasket-material disks in the earphones.

I had that problem with my Infinium LS headphones and this was the solution recommended by my learned MD Friends.

It works and now I hunt in comfort.

GL&HH,

Cupajo

Capajo, well i have done exactly what you suggested and i did help somewhat. I guess its a total comfort issue so i will be looking at changing out the stock set with some gray ghosts. Thanks for the input. You two gobbe-gobble !
