Hi All, new to the game, got a B/hunter quicksilver...do you need to wear the headphones, "get in the way a bit"? any comments welcome
cheers

In Washington State parks, it is illegal to emit any noise that is audible to others using the park. Check your local government regs.

Some claim that earphone extend battery life, however that has not been my experience.

I have the B/hunter quicksilver and I use headphones. One without them it is loud and kids come around more. Two they say the batteries will last longer. I have had mine about a month and I like it and have found lots of stuff and a few good things. I am still learning but anything I can help you with just ask.

well I don't like head phones so never ware them unless it's windy out side, as for as battery life with the bounty hunter i don't think it makes much difference
like I said when it's windy I use them or when I'm hunting where there's a lot of noise,

Some folks have attached the wireless radio link headphones to do away with the wire being in the way. There are sites on the interweb discussing what was used etc. It might be an ok idea, but I think they are about $60 from Radio Shack and increase the weight of the unit and I believe need their own battery.
