Headphones and Fisher F75

x_XP

New member
Which model of headphones work for you with Fisher F75 to get the best out of it?

I know that some headphones work better with one brand detector and not the other.
BTW I like to use my F75 with DP tone setting.
Did anyone try RatPhones BLUE MAX with F75?

I've used the previous version of Rat Phones, and they work great. Coil wont stretch out like many do after prolongerd use.

My dealer carried most of the top brands and recommended Gray Ghost...and I have been very pleased with them. HH jim tn

mole!..i'm new to the 75 too!..had mine for awhile, but still got some lornin" to do!..i am semi retired working part time only these days, and i try to get out as often as i can!.."smart play" is to start off in factory set up and go from there!..ie: use (de) mode and factory "gain" and discrimination!..as the chinese are so fond of saying!.."the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first steps!"

I'm going to go about my early days with the F75 the same way as you...
I'm thinking I'll adjust the gain to where the threshold gets wobbly, then bring it back a whisker until the threshold settles.
I don't mind "running on the edge" occasionally eg. having a slight wobble in the threshold, but too much noise for too longer time is tiring!

I'll stay in De mode too I guess, and factory disc.
I figure that disc. settings will need to be tweaked, __ depending on what I start digging.

I'm not keen on high disc. settings usually, but we don't know what's required until we're in a junky situation...

in addendum..the 75 is "inherently" noisy by design, and you will have to get used to hearing noise in the background!..(e.m.i) is always present to a degree, especially in inner city environments.
