Headphone Question

I bought the Sun Ray Pro-Gold's when I bought my CTX. I like the way they sound and are fairly comfortable. My only issue is sometimes when standing up from a dig or when wearing my rain coat hood one of the switches get bumped and everything goes silent. Has happened to me a couple times per hunt. No big deal just a little annoying. Does anybody have a recommendation for some headphones that don't have switches? I used the Koss for a little over three years with my Explorer and didn't mind them that much other that them being kinda loose. I'm going to give them a try this weekend but would like to maybe try something else. Anyone? Thanks, Joe

I'm working on small annoyances like this on all of my detecting equipment, just to make things more enjoyable...

The Pro Golds are a quality product and one of the few headphones that work 100% with the CTX so you probably should use them..

Here are a few possible solutions...

Duct tape like has already been mentioned. .
A U shaped guard to protect the toggle.. guard
Turn the toggle switch 90 degrees to maybe make it less susceptible..
Trim about half the length off of the toggle. If you take the rubber cover off, trim the length, put the cover on it will look normal.. File the sharp corners so it dont cut the boot
Switch to ctx mode, remove the switch from the hole and let it reside in the ear cup, plug the hole with rubber plug from hardware store..

move the toggle switches to a position like that is used on the Detector Pro Deep Woods phones... Deep Woods

Thanks wildherre. All good suggestions. I'm going to try to make an adjustment and see if that doesn't help. Joe
