Headphone Question

I just received my 1/4 inch headphone adapter from Garrett - now I need new headphones that have adjustable volume controls. I tried my Koss headphones that I received with my Minelab eTrac and they about blew my ear drums out. Recommendations/testimonials welcome. I am thinking about Black Widows - will they work? See number 2 below regarding my query.

1. Dual rotary volume control with "stay put" segmented "click" positioning.
2. Selector switch for metal detector compatibility with all single-output metal detectors without adapters.
3. Heavy-duty muff-to-muff connection cable.
4. Heavy-duty strain relieved coil cable with special 1/4", 90 degree angle stereo connector.
5. Compact carry and storage foldable design.
6. Heavy-duty polymer muffs with full-ear surround, soft comfortable cushions.
7. Adjustable padded headband... no screws, no wire frame, no rust!

I use the Ratphones which are no longer made and they work great with the AT Pro they really bring out and define the mid tones between the highs and lows. I also highly recommend the Killer Bee phones they also are a fine headphone. I personally like the single volume Killer Bee phones some like the duel volume better, either way the Killer Bee phones are really good as-well. I have also heard good reviews on the Sun Ray Pro phones. There are others such as Detector Pro, Grey Ghost and the Black Widows you mentioned all great products pick your medicine. Any good quality headphone with volume control will serve you well with the AT Pro.

Below are pic's of my Garrett headphone adapter install on my AT Pro I went under the grip with the wire.

Hello, I as well have had concerns regarding the Headphone assembly with the AT Pro. I live in TX where the Heat will just knock you over at any length of hunting. I prefer the "Noise Cancellation Ear Buds" myself and just purchased a pair of Skull Candy's from Best Buy with volume control. Hunted with them yesterday and was very pleased with their performance. If anything they are good to have for a field backup should anything happen to your nice preferred set during a hunt.

Best Regards, Wayne

Shayne. I also did narrow it down to Black Widows because they had all the features I wanted. Being thicker they also they keep the big magnets further away from a persons head if that matters

Bill G. Great idea.! That was also done on the X-Terra's.

SEZMAN (Wayne). Which exact pair of noise cancelling ear buds did you buy.?? Because I went on Skull Candies website and they have so many choices. Thank you.
