Hi guys , I have a pair ultimate gray ghost and every time I plug them in any detector that don't work. So I pull them out about a 8th of an inch and they work. There is something up with the end of the cord . What could it be. Thanks for any help. GS

I have 5 pair of headphones and all work great with all my detectors . The only pair that does it is the Gery Ghost. GS

I have tried that and was ok . But after plunging theme in and just pulling the plug out say 1/8 inch they work. GS

Have you tried plugging your hps in and moving the cord around?

I thought about that also but, I wasn't sure if running like that will affect the detector in the long run. After the holidays I will send them to Steve . GS

If you cant figure out the cause i guess you could slip an 1/8in rubber washer over the plug ...

The problem I feel is a broken wire in the cord. Some detectors are stereo and some are set up to be mono, so they will work with one, but the other you have to pull the plug out about 1/8 inch to make contact with the right ring in the headphone jack because the wire is broke somewhere in the cord. If I remember right these have a switch for mono or stereo and you did try it both ways?? If it don't make a difference then the wire is broke and sending them in to Detector Pro they will repair them for you.
