does anyone know what wires go where on a stereo headphone jack go i have a blue yellow and a red

thanks butch

you need a ohm meter to trace the wires then you will know for sure where they go.

Another way is to open up the headphones and see where the wires go. Left, Right, Ground. On the plug, the tip and center sections are L&R and the ground is the barrel. You can look at the solder connections to figure out which is ground, the ground is often the cable support as well.

Butch didnt I show you once how to do that with a battry and a jumper?
It is so easy.use a jumper wire from a battry negative put it on one wire then touch the another wire to +
your earphones will sound off in one ear ,then move one wire to another color and the other ear will sound off.

That will tell you which one is the center ground, the other two are each earphone...Solder them accordingly onto the Plug in jack..
Got it? if not give me a call......John
