headphone jack

Has anyone had trouble with their small headphone jack located in the rear of the Explorer. The other day the small cylinder that fits in the jack just fell out. Is this another Minelab flaw? I made a quick repair with the good 'ol 100 mile an hour tape (electrical tape for you non former Marines) Any others with this problem. A Yank down under hunting in virgin land.

Some people been having problems with that, I always have my sunray adapter stand plugged in so it dont get used much, and havent had a problem yet.. I think most with the problem are using the headphones with the 1/8 plug..

Hi Jim,
I don't know how true this is since I never tried
it but a fellow Explorer user told me that he started getting better depth when he switched to
a 90 degree 1/8th inch jack headphone.
He said that instead of routing the sound through
the 1/4 inch Sunray stand he went directly into
the smaller jack with I think a Koss headphone
and achieved deeper targets.
Is there any kind of test or study done on this?
Thanks,
HH Slay
