Headphone jack connection

Is anyone having problems with there headphones cutting in and out while detecting. It mostly happens while knealing down to dig a target. They are plugged in all the way and it doesn't happen all the time.

You probably have a broken headphone cable. Try wiggling the end of the cable and where it comes out of the headphones while detector is stationary to see where the break is. You can also try contact cleaner on the plug. Spray the plug and insert it right away several times to clean. Could also be the contacts inside the detector have been bent or worn.

Yes, I have Ultimate Gray Ghost's and I really like them - but I've always had to push the plug in several times while I'm hunting ever since the headphone's were new.
Seems like if the plug is not 100% all the way in - I loose some of the connection.
I will check the cable and clean the contacts as "Ohio Bud" mentions above - thanks for the post !

Mark,

On the shorter male plugs, make sure the rubber battery cover is completely snapped in place or it will push the male plug out, thus loosing the connection .
