On the internet I found this P%%tor headphone.

What I like to know is if I can use this model for the Souvereign GT. The only problem that I see is that this model has no volume control.

I also like to know if it is possible to put on a volume control (someting like this one) on there.

Thanks,

Andre,

I had some of those that were made for helicopter pilots - worked great. Mine did have a mic on it, and volume control; With mine, I didn't need the mic, so I just cut those particular wires without any problems. Looks like the ones you show has the stereo HP jack, so I don't see a problem. Same with the in-line volume control.

There is a few things that I would be concerned with on these headphones. I don't see a compatibility switch for stereo or mono as some detectors are stereo and some mono and not sure what the Sovereign are, but if it is not right it will not work without a adapter. Putting a volume control in the cord is not as easy as it looks as those wire inside are very small and hard to solder in. Last thing I notice is the build quality don't look so great and wonder on comfort to wear for many hours at a time, but looks can be deceiving too. I am no expert on headphones but have tried many different ones to find the ones that work the best for me on the Sovereign and seen some of the things that I didn't like. I also seen where some headphones work great on one detector and not another like the ones I use on the Sovereign didn't seem to work very good on the Explorers and E-Trac and the ones for the E-Trac didn't work that great on the Sovereign, but did learn for detecting I use those that are made for detecting for the quality and comfort, those for home stereos didn't seem to be built to take the abuse we give them.

Sven had posted a nice little volume control some time back, Water Proof and all..see If I can find that.....his was more of a knob and you could locate it in the headset cup. I think the Pel-tors will be fine, only thing is like rick said you really have to match up the speakers to that one detector for the best results. I'm working on several different setups for the skullies headphones and from testing several popular headphone speakers which are used by many. I'm finding what works for one, maynot give the best audio for the other. And it's not like you can't change out the speakers for a more compatible set...How much is the set you posted...?

Like the video's, specially the New Years, WOW..you guys really know how to set off the flash!! Liked the Fishing setup on your boat..very cool..

Thank you very much for your reply's. You can buy this headphone in a Mono and a Stereo version.

The price for the headphone in The States is around $ 100,-

Here in The Netherlands the headphone is a little bit more expensive.

At the moment I'm still using a Black Widow Headphone on the GT.

Also thanks for looking at my video's.

Sometimes with stereo headphones you will only hear the tone in 1 ear, that's the case with my GT.

That is telling you your headphones are not really compatable with the Sov.GT if you hear a tone only in 1 ear , my Black Widows have a choice stereo or mono toggle switch plus left right volume controls the second toggle switch is for killing the phones which comes in useful now iam using a hand held Garrett target probe instead of the S-1 .
