Headphone Bolt Question

Randy In Kc

New member
Wondering if the bolt that screws onto the black plastic threads where the headphones plug in, works off or doesn't tighten well on others machines? Surprised White's would use plastic for something that takes so much stress. Mine seems to tighten down but not hold and works its way loose again. Guess it could be stripped.

Have others noticed this? Should I send it in to fix. If so has anyone else and how much did it cost? The black threads are attached to the module or whatever that transmits to the headphones so the module would have to be replaced.

Technical I'm Not.

Thanks

The nylon gets stripped out on the threads and will have to be replaced. I have one guy here that has this problem and I tried to get a metal one to replace it with, but cant find one at any of the Electronic parts store that will work, so these must be special made for Whites. I will be sending in my customers one when he is done detecting for the year.
