Heading to do some beach hunting with my V3

Jason in TN

New member
Headed to Myrtle beach for a bit of beach hunting. I like the beach to test new detectors as there are many different targets and it is easy digging so you can make many recoveries
in a hunt and learn what your new detector is capable of finding. Got some Ideas on adjustments to make and have found a lot of gold there with the DFX in the past. The main thing i will
miss is my Bigfoot coil wish Jimmy would get on the ball and make us one for the V3 like yesterday. I do have the 12X15 SEF and will be using it for more depth and coverage. The wireless
headphones and the color back light screen should make for some good night hunting. Will try to keep you guys updated if I have some internet access where I am staying.

Good luck Jason, sounds like a great get-away.

Thanks Larry

Will try to keep you guys posted on my finding of how the Vision/V3 works at the beach. Was one of the first to get one but with work have not had alot of time to hunt
but have done a lot of testing we will see if it pays off for me at Myrtle beach if any one else will be down that way let me know would like to meet other members and get out to
hunt with them some.

Thanks
Jason

Jason, I can tell ya the V works very well on the beach as that is my primary type of hunting ........ our sand in DE allows a RX of 15 and the TX Boost on in just about every location. You'll like the depth and sensitivity to small gold targets though the D2 will false if it contacts the saltwater at those settings

Jim thanks for the info.
I will be trying the 12X15 SEF coil to start with it is kind of heavy so I may switch back to the D2 if the old arm and shoulder don't hold up.

Jason for me larger coils miss too many smaller jewelry pieces on the beach. Yeah they do go deeper but at the price of gold I hate to run by a small chain just to see a deeper quarter
