Heading out to a mid-Atlantic beach, this Sunday.

Six days. Was there year ago. By 11:00 am beach is packed as far as the eye can see. Last year hunted a new ( to me ) pulse induction machine. 14" coil, on the beach just before sunup every day.
No gold/silver but clad of course. Bobby pins sucked a lot of my time. This year hunting the AT Pro. All dry sand work. Hunting won't be everything. Breakfast at 9:30, after a hunt. Do a little mozing around till happy hour. People watch , relax , hit the hay. On the Beach just before sun up. Don't know if I can handle it all.

Good Luck! I'm heading to Myrtle and surrounding beaches in less than two weeks for 14 days of detecting, have the new sand scoop along with the CTX - ATPro combo.

Not sure how myrtle is right now but in wilmington we are sanded in like crazy. beaches are so clean i am not even finding pop tops.
 
I was in OC this past weekend.. Bleak, Very Bleak... About 15 hours ..One junk ring and maybe 45 coins...

Im guessing the whole east coast from Fl-NY is like this right now becuase ive read similar things from the FL guys. I am a surfer and this has been the worst summer in a very long time for waves. No storms and no waves of any kind to move the sand around. I mean I dont want to get hit by a storm because its not fun but storms out at sea are great for both surfers and MD.
 
The beaches in my are are totally sanded in. I spent 6 hours today working my *** off and found $3.15 in clad. A junk ear ring, one junk anklet and one junk necklace. All my clad targets were deep. I even let the surf give me a 2 hour bath. A little weather might improve things for me.
 
I been watching Hurricane Erika closing on Florida now, maybe it will stir things up a little this week.
