Headed out to the lake and taken the deus for a swim!

Headed out to Lake St Clair tomorrow and Saturday out to the party spots to look for some rings and chains as well as other goodies. Never had the Deus out in the water yet and will need to put the waterproof case on for the first time and test out some settings for the water. Should be a great learning experience and all around good time out. I have been wanting to take it out into the water and test it out so this should be a good time. Any programs for the fresh water to be had that I can try? If not I will piece that puzzle myself and that's half the fun. I will post up any goodies I may pull up along with my thoughts on the Deus in the water :) One thing that rings most in my mind is 18k :) Any settings for gold chains would be great aswell.

Wow was that a cold time in the water. About 59 degrees and windy as heck. Did not pull any silver or gold just clad but it was rough going out there in the wind. Only out there maybe 4 hours between both days. I found the deus to be easy to swing in the water and worked very good. The only complaint I have is using antenna wire up the pole is you have to have the remote almost touching the end of the antenna to get connected soon as I moved it away it would drop and say no coil. I am not sure if this is normal or not as I have not heard alot about people using it.

So it was fun just not alot to show. Works well in the water just the extended antenna could be better.

I thought I read that you do have to have the wire touch the back of the remote or the case that the remote is in, maybe I am wrong but I even think some people glue the wire to the back of the waterproof case. Other more experienced Deus users will know for sure.

I looked at the directions and it had different mounting points. It does not say it has to touch but it's not a big deal but the wire can be a pain at times. You could very well be right as that was the case for me. What was really weird is that the ws4 headphones worked just fine and did not need the wire touching them. Not sure what the deal is.
